Camping:

Space is limited, we have 16 sites reserved. The sites have paved driveways and you can park your car at your site. There are bath houses with men’s & women’s toilets, lights, and power. The sites do not have electric hook-ups. Water spigots are available throughout the campground.

Since space is limited just signing up does not guarantee you a campsite. You will receive a confirmation email from sjcknox@gmail.com if you have a site. You will not be asked to pay anything unless you have a confirmed reservation.

Biking:

The Virginia Creeper Trail is a 34 mile multi-use trail converted from an old railroad bed.  We will shuttle bikes and riders to White Top Station and ride 17 miles down the mountain into Damascus.  It’s an easy ride that most anyone can do. Younger children may do better on a trail-a-bike or in a trailer rather than a small bike with training wheels.  You can bring bikes or rent them. Let us know your preferences on the registration form.  You can pack a lunch or stop in the small town of Taylor’s Valley to visit the Creeper Trail Café.

Meals:

Each campsite has its own fire pit.  Also, there is a shared area with several tables and a large fire pit.  We’ll have a fire each night that you can cook over, or we can just use it for S’mores and gathering time.  Feel free to eat any meal in this area or at your own campsite.  We’ll plan to have a potluck on Saturday after our ride down the creeper trail.
