Thank you for your generosity!
Thank you for your time and monetary donations at this time of year!
Your 2nd Harvest Food Bank Donation was Doubled to Over $20,000!
$10,110.00! That’s the amount donated by St. John’s parishioners to help feed our neighbors. But that’s not all – a pool of donors doubled our impact on hunger with their annual pledge to double gifts received on a specific date each December. Thank you for participating in such a big way.
Angel Tree Gifts
Many thanks to all who pitched in this year, selecting a child’s name from the Angel Tree and shopping for that little angel’s wants and needs. Special thanks to Pattie Thiele and Norvell and Kathy Burrow for managing the tag registry Sunday mornings, and to Meg Sprouse who reached out to friends and family to help ensure the remaining children’s Angel Tree needs were taken care of. Our parish family shared Christmas with over 75 children, more than half of whom received bicycles.
Christmas for the Children (formerly Teen Gifts)
This year you gave over $1,100.00 to Child and Family Services and the Helen-Ross McNabb Center so together they were able to serve over 1,000 families at Christmas. Money raised was used by counselors to meet the specific needs of each child and youth in the program.
Thank You to all who helped decorate the Cathedral for Christmas!
Many thanks to everyone who worked so hard to the make the Cathedral even more beautiful at Christmas to the glory of God. Rick Boyd (this year’s Flower Guild coordinator for Christmas) and Dolores Tipton each put some of the photos of your hard work on the “Episcopalians on Facebook” page and the feedback from all around the country has been stellar. Your gifts of time and talent are so appreciated by all who get to experience your creativity during worship.
