The Dean's List: Parishioner Jim Haslam, II honored with Humanitarian Award

This fall the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee honored Jim Haslam, II with the Joe Kraft Humanitarian Award. According to a Foundation publication, “The award is given annually to individuals who…have made life better for others through hard work, bold dedication to service and strong faith in the human spirit.”

Jim’s generosity of spirit was celebrated with a luncheon Nashville. From his days as a student and football player at UT, through his service to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and to his family-owned gas station that became Pilot Flying J, Jim as spent decades dedicated to the spirit of the Volunteer state through altruistic service and generous monetary support of all manner of community projects.

Congratulations to Jim, Natalie, and the whole family (which includes 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren!) on this well-earned honor.
